This picture shows an answer to prayer several years in the making! For a few years Pastor Fred (pictured in orange shirt) has been requesting our help in bringing water to the orphanage and school (built by Global Outreach) he oversees in Fizi, DR Congo. The orphans and cooks had to walk and carry water several hours each day. The initial estimate was huge and we were unable to help him. Earlier this year the government was able to bring water to a nearby town and Pastor Fred once again requested our help. Since water was now much nearer, the price was much more affordable. In May we were able to send $14,000 which enabled them to run water pipes about one kilometer to the property and also build a large water storage tank. Several challenges along the way delayed the work, but thanks be to God, they now have running water!
