Our Mission and Vision

At Global Outreach, we believe that God has called us to go in Christian compassion and love in an effort to alleviate spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental suffering around the world. We feel that God is leading us to care for orphans and widows and support indigenous Pastors and Christian ministries in such places as India, Thailand, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Bosnia.  We are committed to the task of making disciples of Jesus Christ in all nations. We are intentionally international and interdenominational and believe that by celebrating our cultural diversity and oneness in Christ, we will be more effective in our outreach. We are committed to responding to all emerging needs and ministry opportunities prayerfully and under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20

WHY

WE

GO

Our focus is caring for orphans and widows and supporting indigenous Pastors and Christian ministries.

OUR PRIORITY THROUGH THIS FOCUS IS TO MAKE DISCIPLES OF JESUS AND TO BAPTIZE BELIEVERS.

Why We Go

OUR

HISTORY

We having been going into the world since 1989.

SINCE THEN GLOBAL OUTREACH HAS TOUCHED THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF NEEDY CHILDREN, ORPHANS, WIDOWS, AND INDIGENOUS PASTORS.

Our History

Allan and Harle Eliason

Global Outreach was founded in 1986 by Allan and Harle Eliason.  Their work began in Mexico with mission trips to Bethel Christian Orphanage and the surrounding villages.  Global Outreach supplied items such as clothing, toys, and food for the orphans and needy families as well as funding for a new chapel and Bible college.

Since then, Global Outreach has worked in several different countries including Bosnia, Kenya, Congo, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Haiti, China and the Philippines.  With God’s provision and the help of generous partners, Global Outreach has touched the lives of thousands of needy children, orphans, widows and indigenous pastors.

OUR

FAITH

Our belief in God, who he is, and what he has done for us is the foundation for why we exist and continue to pursue our mission.

OUR FAITH GROUNDS THIS MINISTRY.

Our Faith

We Believe…

  • There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -  that these are equal in every divine perfection.

  • Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and arose victorious from the dead.  We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and personal visible return to earth in power and glory.

  • The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God – a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path - and has absolute authority in all aspects of our lives.

  • Every person has value being created in the image of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and need redemption.

  • The ultimate human need is to know God and that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available only to those who trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  That those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into Him.

  • Christians should live for the glory of God and in service to others, that our conduct should be blameless before the world and that we should be faithful stewards of our possessions.

  • The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach out with God's reconciling love to every person and every nation and that by prayer and in faith we depend on God for the provision of all our needs.

OUR

POLICY

We commit to integrity, excellence, and honesty as we carry out the mission God has given to us.

THIS MINISTRY BELONGS TO GO AND WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE TO HIM IN ALL THINGS.

Our Policy

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing God’s love and plan of redemption to the world. 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15- 17; John 3:16.

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.

3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His virtuous and sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His victorious bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15.

4. We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment. Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; Revelation 20:11-15.

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.

John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14;

Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10.

6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church. 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23.

7. We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18- 20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15; 1 Peter 3:15.

8. We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons, the beautiful handiwork of a good and loving God. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.

9. We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism. Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18- 20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15.

10. We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of all. Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10.
