Earlier this month we shared the amazing progress of the cargo container that Global Outreach Inc supporters filled and sent to the Congo For Christ Center in Uvira, D.R. Congo. Praise God that it arrived and the contents have greatly blessed the orphans, church, and community!
We join with our friends in Congo to express our heartfelt appreciation to each of you that contributed in so many ways to make this day a reality. The process turned out to take much longer and cost much more than originally anticipated. In this case, I believe the setbacks and challenges have served to make this day all the sweeter and provided more cause for rejoicing.
The next and final leg of the container journey will be to move the empty container to the Congo for Christ Center. Those of you that have been there know this will not be an easy task. The container will then be transformed into a library for Mango Tree School and the surrounding community. The supplies to build shelves, install windows and a door were all shipped in the container. A large supply of books were also included.
Please continue to hold this project in your prayers as we trust God to make a way for the container library to bless the precious children in Congo. You have responded so generously for this project and we know God will provide the remaining funds needed to get the children reading!
