Supplying water to the Congo for Christ campus has been a big challenge and an ongoing and expensive project. I am happy to report the work of constructing the pipeline, filter station, and reservoir is going well and is expected to be completed before the end of May. We extend our thanks to all of you who have made this project a reality. Many of you have been faithful partners for years, and many new friends of Global Outreach have contributed to this project through many creative fundraisers such as the Facebook Congo Water project, memorials for loved ones, sponsorships for a 10K race, selling t-shirts and the original “miracle” offering at National Community Church that set this whole project in motion. It is such a blessing to see it come together and know how it will change so many lives in so many ways. This will enable the orphans to move into the dormitory, a day they have been longing for.
While we thank God this goal is nearly completed, there are many remaining items that are also underway to help the campus prepare for the orphans arrival. A new kitchen has been completed and a storage building will soon be constructed. Gardens are being planted, goats will soon be providing milk and cheese for the orphans and we hope to purchase a generator for basic electrical needs. Your gifts continue to bless not only the orphans, but also the Revival Bible college students and staff and the members and community of Congo for Christ Missionary Church.
