Sandya Is Now Thriving In "Feed My People" Vocational Training

Sandya was born into a Hindu family and raised by a very poor single mother. Her mother was forced into a life of prostitution in order to support Sandya and pay for her to attend public school. As Sandya became a teenager and understood how her mother earned an income, she also resorted to prostitution as a means of earning money. One night as she was with a man in his hotel, the police came and arrested both her and the man. She was so ashamed that shortly after she was released from jail she tried to commit suicide by poisoning herself. Her mother found her and took her to the hospital.

Pastor Jacob was visiting the hospital to pray for the sick and found her. After hearing her story, Pastor Jacob witnessed to her and encouraged her to live for Christ. She accepted his invitation and became a new believer in Christ. She was invited to join the other teen girls at the Feed My People orphanage in Tenali and attend vocational training. She is now in her second year of nurses training and is also growing in her Christian walk.
