About Us

God has called us to go in Christian compassion and love.
Why We Go
At Global Outreach, we believe that God has called us to go in Christian compassion and love to alleviate spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental suffering in developing nations around the globe.
God has commissioned us to make disciples of Jesus Christ, care for orphans and widows, and support indigenous Pastors and Christian ministries in India, Thailand, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Vietnam. We are intentionally international and interdenominational and believe that by celebrating our cultural diversity and oneness in Christ, we will be more effective in fulfilling our mission.
We are committed to responding to all emerging needs and ministry opportunities prayerfully and under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19-20, James 1:27, Colossians 4:2-4, Acts 13:2-4).

Our History
Global Outreach was founded in 1986 by Allan and Harle Eliason. Their work began in Mexico with mission trips to Bethel Christian Orphanage and the surrounding villages. Global Outreach supplied items such as clothing, toys, and food for the orphans and needy families as well as funding for a new chapel and Bible college.
Since then, Global Outreach has worked in several different countries including Bosnia, Kenya, Congo, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Haiti, China and the Philippines. With God’s provision and the help of generous partners, Global Outreach has touched the lives of thousands of needy children, orphans, widows and indigenous pastors.
What We Believe
Our belief in God, who he is, and what he has done for us is the foundation for why we exist and continue to pursue our mission.
We Believe…
There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - that these are equal in every divine perfection.
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and arose victorious from the dead. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and personal visible return to earth in power and glory.
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God – a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path - and has absolute authority in all aspects of our lives.
Every person has value being created in the image of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and need redemption.
The ultimate human need is to know God and that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available only to those who trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. That those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into Him.
Christians should live for the glory of God and in service to others, that our conduct should be blameless before the world and that we should be faithful stewards of our possessions.
The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach out with God's reconciling love to every person and every nation and that by prayer and in faith we depend on God for the provision of all our needs.
We are intentionally international and interdenominational and believe that by celebrating our cultural diversity and oneness in Christ, we will be more effective in fulfilling our mission.
