A Special "Birthday" Gift For A Woman In Need

Global Outreach Inc founder, Harle Eliason, celebrated her 84th birthday in July. Reverend Thomas of Feed My People in India has always affectionately referred to her as “Mum Harle” and when we visited there we heard lots of love expressed for Mum Harle.

We shared this month how the orphans were able to celebrate Mum Harle with a special icecream treat.

But someone else received a present that day.

In addition to the special icecream celebration, a sewing machine was given to Vijaya Lakshmi so she can provide for her family. Her husband is unable to work. He is now a Christian, but his previous lifestyle has left him suffering from HIV/AIDS and very weak. This “birthday” gift will provide a means of support for this family. We know Mum Harle would love this birthday celebration!

Reverend Thomas mentioned there are several other women who are trained in tailoring that need a sewing machine to help them support their families.

A new machine can be purchased for $150. This would be a great memorial gift or way to honor someone you love.
