CDR Steven R. Moses is the Force Chaplain for the Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet. Previously, he served as Deputy Force Chaplain for Marine Forces Pacific, Fleet Marine Forces Pacificand Marine Corps Bases Pacific since 2009. In 2008, he deployed to Iraq where he served as the Group Chaplain for Marine Air Control Group 38 and Marine Wing Support Group 37. He has served in various roles as a United States Navy Chaplain since 1994 after serving as Senior Pastor at Diamond Hill Baptist Church in Forth Worth, Texas.
He holds a Master of Divinity Degree with Biblical Languages in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology in Practical Theology from Trinity International University and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. Chaplain Moses is married to the former Joanne Kim of Staten Island, New York and they presently reside in Honolulu ,Hawaii.
