Have you ever felt like a nobody? Johnny once did but now he understands that he is somebody that Jesus loves and now his purpose and future is rooted in that. This young man who goes by the name of Johnny was born into a Muslim family. Shortly after his birth, his father died leaving his mother a widow with a young child to support. She tried her best to support her young son, but ended up in prostitution. A broker took her to the city of Hyderabad and sold her there, leaving her young son on his own.
By the time he was 5 years old Johnny was an orphan begging on the streets.
At that time he was five years old, and he ended up as an orphan boy begging on the streets. One of the Feed My People Pastors went to the village to conduct open air gospel meetings. All day long from morning to night the little boy followed him around. The pastor asked him who he was, and he replied, “I am nobody.”
"I am nobody" is what Johnny told a Feed My People pastor.
When the pastor was unable to find anyone who knew him or any family member he brought him to the orphanage and they named him Johnny. He has lived at the orphanage sixteen years, and now he is studying to be a teacher. Johnny is just one of hundreds of orphaned children in India that your gifts have helped feed, clothe, educate, house and teach about Jesus. Johnny now knows he is somebody that Jesus loves!
